Inventory and Check-in/Check-out

Moving in or out of a property can be a stressful and extremely busy time. Attention to detail is required to ensure a full refund of the security deposit and successful transfer of utilities which will avoid over payment by the client.

Check-in Service

At the start of the tenancy Relocate Cambridge can collect keys on behalf of clients if they are unable to do this for themselves or alternatively pick the client up from station/place of work and accompany them to the property for the check-in and to go through the inventory.
An initial walk through of the property is important at the check-in so any relevant issues can be raised with the lettings agency if necessary.
We are also happy to go through the inventory either on behalf of the client or with them present to ascertain that it is a fair representation of the condition of the property. This is vitally important to ensure a full refund of the security deposit when vacating the property.
At this stage Relocate Cambridge will also check meter readings and inform the relevant utility companies and local authority of the change of tenant.

Check-out Service

Prior to the end of the tenancy Relocate Cambridge can refer or book accredited cleaning companies. It is paramount that properties are cleaned professionally if the security deposit is to be returned in full.

At the end of the tenancy Relocate Cambridge will meet with the inventory clerk to go through the inventory to be certain the check-out is conducted fairly. This will assist with the refund of the security deposit to the client.

Relocate Cambridge will check meter readings and advise the relevant utility companies and local authority of these to make sure a final bill is sent to the client and no additional charges are incurred.

Please note the check-in service fee is included in the rental acquisition charges but is offered as a stand-alone service if required.
